Terms of Use
Last updated 18 September 2026. These terms cover The Landing, the mobile app Global Recovery & Wellness Inc provides free of charge for the first ninety days after treatment, and the text messages that go with it.
They are written to be read. If anything here is unclear, write to support@globalrecoverywellness.com and we will explain it plainly.
Who we are, and what The Landing is
Global Recovery & Wellness Inc is a Delaware corporation providing recovery coaching, detox coordination, intervention, case management and safe passage services.
The Landing is coaching, structure and connection. It is not treatment, not therapy, not counseling, and not medical or nursing care. Our coaches are not acting as your clinicians, and nothing in the app is a diagnosis, a treatment plan or medical advice. It sits alongside whatever clinical care you are receiving elsewhere; it does not replace it and it is not a substitute for it.
It is not an emergency service and it is not monitored around the clock. A coach replies between 8am and 10pm Pacific. If you are in immediate danger call 911. If you need someone now, call or text 988, at any hour. Those resources are on every screen of the app.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or over.
The Landing is invitation-only. You cannot sign up on your own: a treatment center, attorney, psychologist, psychiatrist or therapist refers you, with your written consent, and sends you an invitation. If you have not been referred, there is nothing for you to sign in to.
The app is for your own use. Do not share your access with anyone else.
Text messages
Signing in to The Landing is done by text message. There is no password. When you enter your mobile number we send a one-time code to it, and that code is how we know it is you.
By entering your mobile number you agree to receive those messages from Global Recovery & Wellness. You may also receive a text when a coach is on their way to you, if you have asked for one in the app.
Message frequency varies and depends on how you use the app — a message each time you sign in, and occasionally when you ask for a coach. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. Reply HELP for help, or write to support@globalrecoverywellness.com.
If you stop the messages you will not be able to sign in, because the code is the only way in. You can start again at any time by entering your number.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. How we handle your number is set out in our Privacy Policy.
The ninety days, and what they cost
The Landing is free to you for ninety days from the day you enroll. There is no subscription, no advertising, and nothing to buy inside the app.
At day ninety the program ends. You keep access to leave, to delete your account, and to whatever the app shows you at that point; the daily check-in and the coach thread close.
The free ninety days are unrelated to any paid engagement your family may separately have with Global Recovery & Wellness. Those are governed by their own agreement.
What you put into the app
Your check-ins, your recordings and your messages remain yours. You give us permission to store them and to show them to our coaches for the purpose of supporting you, and for nothing else.
We do not sell them, we do not use them for advertising, and we do not use them to train anything.
Recording is optional. You can complete a check-in with the sliders alone, with voice only, or without recording at all. The one exception is a court-involved arrangement agreed with you in advance, and the app says so before you record anything.
You are responsible for what you record. Do not record other people without their knowledge, and do not put anything in the app that you do not have the right to share.
What your referring organization sees
Sharing is off when you enroll. If you turn it on, the organization that referred you sees your first name, the milestones you have reached, and whether you have been active this week. Nothing else — not your answers, not your scores, not your recordings, not your conversations with a coach.
You can turn it off at any time from your own phone, and they are not told that you did.
Fair use
Do not use The Landing to harass, threaten or abuse anyone, including our coaches. Do not attempt to access anyone else’s account, interfere with the service, or use it for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or end access if that happens. Where we can do so safely we will tell you why and help you find other support.
Ending it
You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from inside the app — or on the web at globalrecoverywellness.com/delete-account/ if you have already uninstalled it.
Your health information is erased forty-five days after you ask. Signing in within those forty-five days cancels the deletion and brings everything back. What happens to each kind of information is set out in the Privacy Policy.
We may end or change the service. If we do, we will give you as much notice as we reasonably can, and we will not leave you without a way to retrieve or delete your information.
What we do not promise
We provide The Landing with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, that a message will always arrive, or that any particular outcome will follow from using it. Recovery is not something an app can guarantee and we will not pretend otherwise.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Global Recovery & Wellness Inc is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, and our total liability in connection with The Landing is limited to one hundred dollars — which reflects that the app is provided to you free of charge.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Law, and where a dispute is heard
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Orange County, California have jurisdiction.
Nothing here takes away a right you have under the law of the state where you live.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant we will tell people using the app rather than relying on them to re-read this page.
