Work With Us

Join Our Sober Companion Bench

We keep a private bench of sober companions for families who need someone in the room: a flight home from treatment, a live-in stretch through the first weeks, or a period of daily, hands-on presence a remote coach cannot provide. This is separate from our Recovery Coaching programme — most companions could do that work too, but it asks something different: real time in a client’s daily life, often overnight, sometimes across state lines.

What this work looks like

In person, not virtual. You may be in a client’s home, traveling with them, or staying with them through a transition.

Live-in stretches are common: several days to a few weeks, structured around the client’s own treatment plan.

Some assignments cross state lines, and some involve driving the client — both are things we ask about below so we only call you for work that fits.

We handle the family, the contract and the invoice. You focus on the client.

What we ask

Five years of continuous sobriety, and five years of direct experience doing this kind of work. This is a hard minimum — we built it into the bench itself, not just the job description.

If you are close but not there yet, apply anyway. We keep every application on file and are glad to hear from you again once you have the experience.

A background check, which we pay for, two references, and a short video call.

Honesty about where you will and will not travel, and whether you drive clients — this is what keeps us from calling you for work that does not fit.

Tell Us About Yourself

Five minutes. A real person reads every application, including the ones we have to decline today.
